This class is an exploration of basic to intermediate kilnforming techniques. Straight forward design projects integrate the fundamentals of kiln processes. Methods taught include kilncarving, fusing, and slumping-using clear, black and white and colored glass to illustrate principles of design and color theory. Participants start by making studies with basic materials and methods and end by creating projects that bring all of the learning together.
Learn to cut with confidence and proficiency. Topics include straight and curved cuts, use of tools, safety and technique.
